Hyundai IONIQ 6 Range: EPA Estimates by Trim
How far an IONIQ 6 goes on a charge depends on the battery, the drivetrain, the wheel size and how and where it is driven. This guide uses the 2025 IONIQ 6 page on hyundaiusa.com, the current IONIQ 6 model year listed there, for each trim's EPA-estimated range, battery and charging times, and the 2025 IONIQ 6 records on fueleconomy.gov for city and highway range, both read October 29, 2026. Other model years can differ.
What is the range of a Hyundai IONIQ 6?
Hyundai lists EPA-estimated driving ranges for the 2025 IONIQ 6 of 240 miles (SE Standard Range RWD, 53.0 kWh battery), 342 miles (SE RWD, 77.4 kWh), 316 miles (SE AWD), 291 miles (SEL and Limited RWD) and 270 miles (SEL and Limited AWD). Hyundai says all figures are EPA estimates based on a fully charged battery, for comparison purposes only, that battery capacity decreases with time and use, and that actual range will vary with vehicle options, driving conditions and habits, the vehicle and battery's condition, battery temperature and outside temperature.

IONIQ 6 charging times
DC ultra-fast, 800V
About 18 minutes from 10% to 80% on a 350 kW, 800V DC ultra-fast charger. Hyundai lists ultra-fast charging capability (up to 800V / 350 kW) as standard on every 2025 IONIQ 6 trim.
Level 2 at home
About 6 hours 55 minutes from 10% to 80% on a 10.9 kW, 240V AC charger, according to Hyundai's home charging disclaimer; Hyundai's spec table lists that time for the 77.4 kWh trims and 5 hours 20 minutes for the 53.0 kWh SE Standard Range. A Level 2 charger is sold separately.

Battery heating and drive modes
Hyundai lists a battery heating system as standard on the SE, SEL and Limited (not available on the SE Standard Range), and Drive Mode Select with Eco, Normal, Sport, Snow and My Mode on every trim.
From the 2025 IONIQ 6 specifications, charging disclaimers and FAQ on hyundaiusa.com, read October 29, 2026. Hyundai says actual charging time varies with the current charge level, the charger's output, vehicle and battery settings, battery temperature and outside temperature, and that ultra-fast charging stations are provided by independent companies and availability is not guaranteed.
What affects your IONIQ 6's range
Hyundai's range disclaimer names the factors that move real-world range away from the EPA estimate:
- Vehicle options, such as AWD and 20-inch wheels (compare the ratings above).
- Driving conditions and habits, including how much of the drive is at highway speed.
- The vehicle and battery's condition. Hyundai says battery capacity decreases with time and use.
- Battery temperature and outside temperature.
